It’s no secret that you really learn how to cook in college, but not in the traditional way. I’ve always been a huge fan of ramen growing up, but now it’s all I eat. I’ve kinda became a self-proclaimed ramen chef. Not to brag, but I make such good ramen.
Now the thing about cooking ramen in college is learning how to be creative with your ingredients. It’s all about taste. With that being said, I don’t have measurements since I just eyeball it to taste.
My Ramen Recipe
Ingredients:
- chicken broth
- a pack of Shin Raymun noodles (can sub with any other ramen but I love the spicy flavor of this one)
- soy sauce
Steps:
- Please do yourself a favor and buy an instant ramen cooker for the microwave. It will change your life. So, unpack the ramen and spice mix and put both in the ramen cooker. Only use half of the spice mix because you dont want to over power the chicken flavor and it can get real spicy real quick. Adding the dehydrated noodles is up to you.
- Next, follow the cooking instructions for the ramen. You may have to play around with cooking times since different ramen cooks at different times, but I would always say stick to the time on the ramen packet.
- Once cooked, add soy sauce to taste.
Three simple steps to make my favorite ramen!
Some add ons (optional):
- soft boiled egg (my favorite add on)
- shredded chicken
- lime juice instead of soy sauce
- salt and pepper
- frozen peas and carrots
- any other frozen vegetables
and there you have it!
