Winter 2018 Beauty/Skin Care Favorites!

Before I get into the post, I want to apologize for the lack of posts so far. I’m heading into finals season, so I may not get to post too much due to school. Anyways, here are a few products I cant live without.

Most products that I use in the winter are products that I use on almost a day to day basis. Plus, my “college kid” schedule requires products that make my beauty and skin care routines simple and low maintenance. Whether I’m getting ready for my 8 am or getting ready for a night out, my look stays mostly the same, and thanks to products like the ones featured below, I can maintain a simple and easy routine.

Skin Care:

My first favorite product is the C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum by Sunday Riley. I can’t say enough good things about this serum. This face serum will go down as one of my favorite products of all time. The price is a little stiff (being $85), but if you can find a cheap trial size, it’s a must try. It has an amazing orange scent, and it makes your face feel so nice and clean after use.

My next favorite product(s) for skin care comes from Mary Kay, the Botanical Effects line. I’ve used this skin care line for a little while now because my mom sells Mary Kay. It is great for sensitive skin like mine as some skin care lines can cause my rosacea to flare up. The exact line that I used is no longer available, but there is a new line out.

Lastly for skin care, I have the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea. The rose water spray by this brand is very popular, but I prefer the green spray. It smells better in my opinion. It is very cheap (only $12 for a large bottle!), and very multi-use. I use it for just adding moisture to my face, just a refresher in the morning, before makeup, as setting spray, etc. It is entirely up to how it works for your skin.

Beauty:

My first favorite beauty product is the Milk Makeup Blur Stick. It’s a little more pricey (ranging from $14-$36), but it is worth every penny. I typically use this as a primer and mostly as my base makeup. It is perfect for that “no makeup” makeup look.

This concealer, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind, is a drug store cult favorite for beauty. It is cheap (only about $6), and does the job you need it to. It is perfect for hiding dark circles caused by late nights studying or going out with friends on the weekend.

The Tarte Shape Tape is nothing to play around with. It is FULL coverage to the MAX. It is $27 for product that will go a long way. It will hide everything from dark circles and pimples to your darkest secrets (just kidding). But this concealer will do the job and do it the best.

This Ulta Brow Tint has quickly became one of my favorite brow products. Doing brows is probably my least favorite part of doing my makeup because I’m not the best at it, but this tint has made the process easier. The name is very fitting because it is very light, which differs from your usual brow mascara, but this leaves you with beautiful natural looking brows.

Last. but certainly not least, the Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder For Face And Body is one of my holy grail products as I don’t think I could live without it. It’s sheer but there are specs of glitter that catch the light. This is perfect for that natural highlight look with a little extra glow.

Well, there you have it! These are all my must-haves for the winter! I hope you all get to discover a new product or two! Also, let me know your must-haves for this time of year! Leave a comment below with the products that you can’t live without.

Until next time,

Lauren :)))
